The Woodvale Primary Academy provides for the needs of children within the 3 to 11 age range.
Pupils will be admitted at the age of 3+ without reference to ability or aptitude using the criteria set out in this policy. Admission to our Academy is not dependent on any ‘voluntary’ contribution.

Appeals
Parents have the right of appeal to an Independent Appeals Panel if their application is unsuccessful relating to admissions at age 5 (statutory school age) or above. Appeals should be made within twenty (20) school days of the date of refusal.

Please be aware that the regulations under Section I of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 limit the size of an infant class (a class in which the majority of children will reach the age of 5, 6 or 7 during the school year) to 30 pupils per class teacher. Admissions over this limit are only permitted in very limited circumstances.
Nursery
At the Woodvale Nursery we offer places for 3-4 year olds, taking children a term after their third birthday.
If you are entitled to 15 hours free child care, we have sessions available in the morning (9.00am – 12.00pm) or in the afternoon (12.30pm – 3.30pm).
If you are entitled to 30 hours free childcare we have sessions available all day* (9.00am - 3.30pm). In order to claim 30 hours free childcare you must apply via https://www.gov.uk/30-hours-free-childcare
